A Different Kind of Therapy with MARC ZOLA LMFT

About Marc Zola LMFT

Marc Zola is the author of The Intimacy Paradox: Too Close for You — Too Far for Me, a clinical guide to breaking the patterns that keep couples stuck. He brings that same framework into every session — helping couples understand not just what they’re fighting about, but why the cycle keeps repeating.

With over 20 years of clinical experience, Marc combines careful listening with something most clients haven’t experienced before: direct, pattern-level feedback that cuts through the noise and tells you exactly what’s keeping you stuck. His approach is refreshingly direct. His goal is not years of open-ended therapy — it’s to equip you with a clear understanding of your patterns and the tools to change them, as efficiently as possible.

Marc is an AAMFT Clinical Fellow, an approved Clinical Supervisor, a former psychotherapy instructor, and Founder Emeritus of one of the premier mental health practices in the Pacific Northwest. These aren’t just credentials. They reflect decades of working at the leading edge of relational therapy, training other clinicians, and refining an approach that produces real, lasting change.

Marc works with a select number of couples and individuals across Washington State and Oregon, focusing on three core areas: (1) Couples in recurring conflict, (2) parents navigating disconnection with their children, and (3) high-achieving individuals managing anxiety.
